This initiative took place in Gellért Hill and the surrounding cityscape, in Budapest, Hungary, on September 19th, 2023.
The event combined hiking with an activity related to the protection of the environment, so while walking, the goal was to pick up trash along the tourist route.
This city hike was aimed at making the capital of Budapest a bit cleaner by having the hikers collect trash along the scenic and iconic routes on the Buda side of the city. Trash bags and gloves were provided to the participants, and the GETS e-learning platform together with the benefits of the Erasmus+ Sports program was advocated.
