This initiative was a walking tour to the only Waste-to-Energy Nonprofit Plant in Hungary managed by the Municipality of Budapest through the company of FKF, which took place in Budapest, Hungary, on September 22, 2023.
The guided tour was held in English and the participants could also visit the FKF Centre for Awareness and Reuse (FKF Szemléletformáló és Újrahasználati Központ). The current plant is transforming more than 60% of the municipal solid waste (generated by people mostly living in the capital) into energy = heat and electricity
